Everstory - Our Story

Built on a conversation we nearly missed

Everstory exists because someone's grandfather passed away before anyone thought to sit down and ask him about his life. We're here to make sure that doesn't happen to your family.

How we started

The story that started all the other stories

Everstory began with a regret. A grandfather who passed with a life full of stories — a childhood in rural New Zealand, a career built with his hands, a marriage that lasted 54 years — and a family who never quite got around to asking about any of it.

We started wondering: how many families are in the same position? How many people have a parent, a grandparent, a beloved aunt or uncle — someone who carries a whole world inside them — and assume there will always be more time?

So we built something simple. A professional, unhurried interview. Filmed at home, guided by care, and turned into something the family can keep forever. Not a memorial. A celebration — while they're still here to enjoy it.

Every session we do reminds us why this matters. The stories people share in front of a camera — the ones they've never told their own children — are the ones families replay for decades.

"Most families wait. We exist so they don't have to."

Why Everstory

What we believe about legacy, and how we work.

01

Stories deserve more than a photo album

Photos capture a moment. A filmed interview captures a voice, a laugh, a way of telling a story that can never be replicated. It's the difference between remembering someone and actually hearing them again.

02

A conversation, not an interview

We come to your loved one's home, not a studio. Everything is set up before they walk in. The conversation is warm, unhurried, and guided — so they forget there's a camera in the room at all.

05

We handle everything

From the first call to the delivered film, every detail is taken care of. You don't need to prepare anything, plan anything, or worry about anything. Just tell us who this is for, and we'll take it from there.

03

Family is part of the film

Before filming, we gather questions and messages from family and friends — read aloud on camera, completely unannounced. The moments of surprise, gratitude, and emotion that follow are often the ones families remember most.

06

The time is now

The people who book with us almost always say the same thing afterward: "I wish we'd done this sooner." The families who wait often wish they hadn't. We're here whenever you're ready — but we'd gently encourage sooner over later.

04

Made to last, not just to watch once

Every film is professionally edited with music, chapter markers, and family photos woven through. It's delivered in a format designed to be shared at Christmas, replayed on anniversaries, and passed down to grandchildren.

People behind it

We're a small team with a clear purpose.

Everstory is built on the belief that every person has a story worth preserving — and that the families left behind are the ones who feel that most. We're not a production company chasing volume. We take on a small number of interviews at a time, because each one deserves full attention.

We work with experienced interviewers who know how to draw out a life story with warmth and patience. People who can sit with your grandparent for two hours and have them opening up about things they've never told their own children.

We're based in New Zealand, and we come to you.
